Move vanes to retard position and run with two sets of straight bars on rotor over grates.

When you say grates are you refering to concavesIJ If I retard the vanes should I only do the front half over the concave area or the whole thingIJ Also if I retard them and I get into really dry corn (13 to 17%) am I going to increase crackingIJ

Hippo...can you give us more info on your combine.are you running a standard or spec. rotor.... assuming you have the keystock gates because the disrupters only fit on them.If that is tha case- Specialty rotor and keystock grates then it is a task to get no rotor spillout in dry corn..Mr. Gordan's bars are a good solution

Mine is a standard rotor also and I think the notched separation bars on the back of the rotor help.I run a shredder in mine so have not used the disrupters.
