You need to look at the framework underneath the galvanized. Is it painted orange or blackIJ Both colors will work very well if updated to spiral fronts on the rolls and otherwise in pristine condition. However, the black heads are more desireable as they have less roller chain underneath and are simpler_cheaper to maintain over many acres or years. For $1500 on a 6-30 head, you are probably looking at an orange head or a black head needing considerable investment in new parts. In NE Iowa a black 6-30 will usually sell for $2500 on up, depending upon condition.
