Combines Corn reelsIJIJIJIJIJ

Never wanted to own one and fought small patches of down corn a few times over the years. 3 years ago we had 200 acres flat. Spent 3 days in it with an 8 row head and shelled 4 trailer loads in 3 days. Next day drove to Heritage Machine and Welding in Bloomington for an $1800 reel. I was very skeptical, but desperate. We put it on that night and started the next day. Quite frankly it was amazing. We went from going .5 mph with someone walking along the machine to running 2-3 mph and rarely having to stop. We took it off and haven't used it since, but its a nice insurance policy in my shed. Saves a lot of roots and dirt from going into the machine. There are others out there and I'm sure some may be better or worse than Heritage's reel.

i haven't checked out their web site lately.noticed today they have their price list and videos on their site.like i said before they do work. They don't let you travel vary fast but your not stopping and backing up all the time.

Was hoping you were closer. The one I have is similar to a Keldermann. If you have hydralics on your combine to run grain platform reel a corn reel is easy to hook up,if not you have extra hose and control valve to purchase.Mine is a 4-38 for an M combine, new it was 1600 plus 250 for hoses and valve,a 6 row was 100-150 more.good luck and regardless of brand they make combining easier in down corn. I live in east central Iowa.
