Combines Corn Seed

I had to replant corn that was killed by the freeze, the only corn that survived was in a low area and had 3" twice on it and under water for 3 to 4 days. Temp was in the 70s when it rained. It was planted on march 18th and was spiking through last week.

Most corn under heavy ponding conditions planted with rain immediately will suffocate and die from my years of experience. If the seed gets 48 hours or more before rain....survival rate increases dramatically if drainage is good. Probably not what you wanted to hear. I hesistated on my heavier ground this week when heavy rains forecasted.....not enough hours to let seed swell and breathe before being drown and suffocated.

FUBAR I've been in those same shoes. You try to be optimistic and you do hear of occassions that a crop survives horrific environments. All the info you provided tells me that crop has a very small chance of achieving a desired stand. I'd start lining up replants while you can.
