Combines Corn settings for tr99

Your problem is your going to slow. You should be up around 5.5mph, when you don't keep bigger machines full it will blow some out the back. I have a TR-98 and can run 5 to 6, and have less grain loss at the higher speed.

Pete, I run the bottom sieve wide open and a fan speed that has the corn just clean(about 800-840 rpm). We go about 4.5 mph in good corn(wide open 2nd gear) but this year it has been 3rd gear, 6.5mph because corn is only 30-50 bpa here in SWIl. Ilnewholland

Your TR-99 is really an awesome machine. You don't need to baby it. It has a wider clean grain elevator than the TR-98. It should do 2400 bu_hr on your yield monitor. Just be sure you have the chaffer and sieve open far enough. Otherwise you make get corn in the cleaning fan and that can be bad news. An 8 row head in 176 bu. corn could be driving 5-5.5 mph. Round bar concaves and slow RPM's is is usually ok. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I know it has tremendous capacity in Corn, But my problem is I can not get the corn away from the combine fast enough. I was doing a VRT fertilizer plot on Saturday and I drove 3.9MPH (GPS)regardless of yield and at 1800bu_hr or more no grain loss but as soon as the Yield Monitor shows 1200- 1500bu_hr lights start going up. Cylinder speed is as low as possible at 560RPM, Concave set at 48 and Fan speed at 700RPM. I tried lowering the Fan Speed even more but did not appear to help. So the question is how do you set this machine for low bu_hr combiningIJ Pete
