Combines corn settings

I leave my fan setting the same between corm and beans fast as it will run the best way to set the sieves is to close them and then dump a sample of corn on them and open them enough to let the corn fall through. I take my middle sieve out when I do corn

guess so neighbor told we to take it out and didn't seem to change the quaility of the grain in the tank, also will let it go through faster to the elevator

What is the concave set on and cylinder speed. This year we ran our concaves at 4-6 and the speed at around 400 plus_minus 50. You want to just mark the cob with the concave and cylinder. If its too tight it will split like in wedge shape pieces, if its to wide the cob will go through end over end and brake that way. The ideal setting is to leave the cob in one piece.

If that's a 6 on the outside readout and not on the digital meter inside the cab, my opinion is that is too wide. I close my concave until I can see a print of the rasp bars on the cob (I assume you've got a rasp bar machine). I've never had a problem cleaning all the kernels from the cob before. You should be able to fly with a 693 on a 9500 once you get your settings down. Good luck. Raining here in West TN this am.

Yes it is a walker machine and the indicator is on the ouside. closed it up to 4 and that helped alot plus increased cylinder speed to 470. Not even close to book settings. Thanks again looks like rain delay next 2 days in N_E Maryland

You may have to back off that cylinder speed if you crack too much. I usually run mine about 380-400 rpms. Good luck. BH
