He must be A lONG way from the elevator if he needs 10 trucks to keep up with one machine. lOl...Heck even the carts are going to be lined up behind the combine. looks more like hes putting his grain storage on wheels for his record attempt .

Fun to watchIJ That would be fun to do! I've never been in corn rows longer than a half mile.

I talked to one of his employes, he has one field that is 1400 acres with 1.5 mile rows. They farm 20,000 acres, they have 5 Cat and 3 IH combines. There is a 590 Cat with 16 row head,at farm. But I don't know if they have tried for the record.

The guys name is Bailey. They farm around louisville, Il. I've never met the man, they would be 50mi south of me. But around here anyone that farms 20,000 acres gets talked about alot. So again, there may be nothing to this story about setting a record! CW

If he was REAllY serious about a record try he would harvest a field with center pivots and rows planted in a spiral manner. No headlands to turn around, just one big continious circle. Of course fields like that are few and far between.

I think you would have a little trouble with the pivot being in the way unless you would yank it out of the field.
