Combines corn stoves

With the current cost of Natural gas,propane or heating oil why are not more farmers looking at corn stoves. Wheat, rye, and corn would be good sources of heat. I have been using dovetec stoves to heat my house and shop for 2 years now. They have worked great. Wood is a pain,split,stack smoke, ash ,soot, bugs, bark and expensive pipe for the chimmney. Are there not any other farmer out here that use grain stoves or furnacesIJ

I saw one work at a farm show running with no smoke coming out it was impressive. But when I went to my insurance company they said they wouldn't insure it or any type of pellet stove. It was because of bad smoke damage claims. I guess when the power goes out or something goes wrong with the stove you can get smoke in the house. I found another insurance company but it was too much hassel to switch everything over. My insurance company said no problem if I wanted to install a would stove.

The Country Side Stove is Ul approved. It has a negative draft which means when the door is open it sucks the smoke out through the vent to the outside. When properly vented and the power goes out, the draft will continue to suck the smoke outside. It has an automatic shut down in these cases. Far less smoke and pollution then wood. My Farm Bureau Insurance agent is buying one. Go figureIJ

Do you have a corn burner boilerIJ that coupled to

Have used a corn stove for the last 2 years and love it. Works great. I'm looking to upgrade to a better more convenient model next year. Right now i have an elcheapo model that takes a little more maintenance, but still works fine. You can check out most all the stove manufactures on the web under corn stoves.
