Combines corn

Corn harvest can be totally no fun with down corn. I am running 45 degree angle to rows and taking only 7 22 inch rows at 3.5 to 5 mph. Thus I make the R72 a small combine by running 240 cyl speed with Sunnybrook and 3 filler strips on the concave front, and get perfect sample when we can't begin to use the "keep her full" technique. We got another blast of snow last night, and have 800 more acres to do at this snail's pace! Minnesota is not having an easy time of harvest this year.

Over here a bushel weighs 56 lbs at 15.5% moisture. Most of the time though ours will test at 58-60 lbs. So in a ton there are 35.71 bushels at 56 lbs. And my little info book says that there are 39.37 bushels of shelled corn in a metric ton. Why do you ask and what does corn weigh per bushel over thereIJ

Thanks for the info Just wondered what sort of tons per hour the TR99 would be harvesting in corn we dont grow corn ( not much corn grown in oz but usualy grown on irigation) we grow dryland wheat and Barley on 12 inches annual rain fall or about 7 to 8 inches of growing season rainfal although this year we only had 6.5 inches of growing season rainfall, average yeild for us was about 11 bags acre. Our TR99 with 36 ft honey bee in a 3 to 3.5 tonne _ hectare crop of wheat (15 to 16 bag _acre) was doing up to 44 tonne _ hour average of around 34 to 38 tonne_ hour no chasser bin so actual tonnes around 25 per hour. There is a CR 970 not far away with a 39 ft honeybee in one day averaged 44 tonne _ hour whith his best hour 57 tonne with a chasser bin

I think you mean hectare. And 1 hectare is equal to 2.471 acres. Or 1 acre is equal to 0.4047 hectare.

I've taken everother wire out of concave. Why such a low rotor speed. What effect would to high rotor speed have. Also what should be the starting point for the concave. If i measured with a tape from concave to bar what would that gap be.
