ISPs usually give you 5 megs to go with your dial up account. They will also give you the FTP information. You will need an FTP client. WS-FTP is a good free program. You can download it from ZDNet, CNet, Tucows, ect. There are other free web page providers (GeoCities, Tripod, Angel Fire) but they plaster your pages full of banner ads. They will also delete your account without telling you if you don't keep the pages updated on a regular basis. You should already have a webpage editor with Windows 98 called Front Page Express. If you don't have it, you can download it from Windows Updates. All you have to do is point and click to create a webpage. As far as your pictures go, I usually do about 3 to a page for fast loading and keep them around 300x400 pixels. You want them large enough so people can see what's going on but not to large that it will take half of the night to load. Also if you are scanning them, 75 dpi is plenty. Any higher resolution will not show up on the computer screen and is wasted bytes. Also save them to jpeg format for the clearest picture and minumum file size. I hope this helps and let me know when you get the pages done or if you need any help. I'd like to see the pictures--Ray
