I have been around the CR's a few times.I think they are very versitile and can do well in almost any conditions. The self leveling shoe, the new longer rotors with the new configuration, the controls and settings are outstanding. My biggest concern at this point is the extra weight. Most operators especially in the midwest seem to think that the extra weight in muddy conditions will rob too much hp.Other than that I think they are awesome.

What about with dauls and rear wheel assist. Don't you think that will let them foat on wet ground. I have two neighbor who are getting two new 940's with dauls and rear wheel assist one is getting the hillco side hill axle and the other is getting the self leveling shoe.

Bob, A 940 out weighs a TR-99 by roughly 9000-1000n, both can be outfitted with the same tiresIJ Both have the same motor with the "hp" being very close between the machinesIJ A TR-99 has a hard time with 1_2 a grain tank full in very wet conditionsIJ Now add another 170bu worth of weight and what will you have.....an anchor! As I understand it this machine has been around as a prototype for about eight years and has been tested on several continents. I would think that it would have run into mud somewhere along the line and more likely than not it has been addressed in the design. The fact that the new machines are on Goodyear Metrics (at least the larger ones are anyway) instead of those pile of junk Titans should also be comforting when things get muddy. Then again I could be wrong, its been know to happen. Proto

I was fortunate enough to test drive a 960 harvesting rice. It was wet, but firm as the field had been leveled. When i crossed a levee it pretty much just went through and it never felt like it was hurting for power while running a 25ft draper and unloading on the go. It had 900_ 32 R2's in the front and 28l-26 R2 in back. Very slick set up
