No, at least not without completely rebuilding the center frame. It would have to be a 73C head or newer to have the large feederhouse opening. when used on a TR combine there are plates bolted in on each side to make the opening narrower for the TR feederhouse. Even so I'm not sure how the normal switches equipted for header hight and lateral tilt would work. I think they would have to be changed out to the potentiometers like on the 74C head.

You are right the 73C will work on the TR's as far as fitting is concerned, but the CR hyd, electrical, and sensors are quite different.The front plate on the CR is 74" wide and the frame on the 973 headers is only about 70-72" so it will not work.

I THINK there is a conversion for the later 973, but you would have to check for sure. The conversion might only be for a corn head to fit on the cr combines.
