Combines CR970

Sounds like your dealer is related to mine. He can be a real jerk sometimes. Do what I do, start getting loud in the store till people start looking. Usually things straighten up after a stern talk. I might call NH and mention this to them too, sure they would love to hear this one!

Maybe the dealer is just scared of what to do with that STS trade-in, seriously. JD has enough trouble moving the used ones on their lot; the NH dealer would have to sell it pretty rock bottom.

I think your dealer is making a mistake in not selling to you. Now days a 100 miles is not that farIJ How far is your next dealerIJ I deal with about 5 NH dealers here and sometimes a few of them just don't want to deal with me. I think it is there loss. I know times are tuff for everybody but to turn down a sale to you and for that amount of money I think he better think it over. If he did he would find out that he could have a few more customers along the way to your place and that 100 miles would pay off in the future. Some people just don't think about the future and are stuck in the past to much. I would try another dealer and maybe give that one one last chance, if you really like that dealerIJ You did not say what part of the country(or world nowdays) you are fromIJ If this gets out all over your area this dealer will not grow much in the future. Every dealers area has to expand in the future. His loss. I do know if the dealer asked the New Holland company sometimes to make a deal work out the company can do some things for the dealer and customer. Did he try thatIJ I think a good dealer and salesman will try everything under the sun to make a deal. Has to be a plan B someplace. Ilnh

Upset.......it is still in litigation so I have to keep my mouth shut.. Dealers.....they are few and far between as the farmers quit so do the dealerships. NH recommened this place to me as the best place to by the machine as they were large enough and advanced enough to take care of me. Next closest one is about 115 miles away and is a little mom and pop out fit. You know the kind, they are elderly but don't want to just sit still. Mom runs the parts and sales, Pa does the wrench'in and truck'in. My shop is bigger then their whole dealership.

Sometimes those little dealerships can surprize you, sounds like they don't have much overhead to deal with. I do know of dealers here that would sell a combine to you 500 miles or more. Big one in KY that has sold combines all over the USA. Keep looking, don't give up. I'm sure you will enjoy a new CR970. Go to plan B. Ilnh

Doesn't surprise me Nod. The company itself has gained some kinda arrogant air about them over the last 3 years or so. Going to NH managment did nothing for me a couple years ago, and this was with the dealers helpIJ They just didn't seem to careIJ After doing about 350,000.00 worth of business with that dealer over a 3 year period made no difference to NH, and all was spent on NH machinery! Although, this fella (Gary Wojcik...Product Marketing Manager) that Ilnh and I came in contact with at louisville seemed to be one of the last good guys hanging out with NH. He was helpful and took critism eargerly all the while treating us as if he cared what we actually thought! Much better than a field rep I talked with 3 years ago in louisville. I'm usually not easily provoked but that guy almost pushed me to the point of sweeping the floor with his wise a$$! Good luck, and like Ilnh said, there's dealers out there that will sell. JD
