in reply to your comments buckshot about behaving like an a$$i believe pete said that new holland didnt want to know about the problem and hadnt come up with a fix.I was probably taring all dealers with the same brush which was not my intention as there are by far more good dealers out there than bad. But in saying that if you are not satisfied with the way you are being dealt with you yourself said throw a hissy fit , who cares if they think your an a$$ if it solves the problem. If they do nothing it will be there loss as i would say the next machine you purchase would be a differnt colour.Your machine is only as good as the service and backup of your dealer.

i'm quite sure you are right. Joe's home is in Canada. Actually I think he farms up there.

I have a cr970 and I had the same problem once when I had the hydro all the way forward for a period of time. a guy from NH told me the hydro does not send any oil to the cooler when the hydro lever is maxed out. All I did to correct it was to pull back on the hydro a little and the temp came down fast.

You're right Don, I think he told me like 800 acres or so. He also runs some kind of contracting business of some sort, but I didn't want to be nosey and ask him for details. Hows the 940 this yearIJ Do you have pictures for all of us of the Mountains in Colorado you told us about this summerIJ

Sounds like running at full stroke is the common denominator here. So whos going to be the first guy to bypass the brake valve on the pump to see if its a major restriction and heat sourceIJ

Joe sure deserves some time back home. He sure has been a help to me and the other summer custom harvestors. He has rescued me about every year on something. This year he even took an idler pulley off his demo CR960 for me so I could keep going. About the pictures of the beautiful San luis valley. MY grandsons were the official photographers this year and they have the pictures. I just keep forgetting to get them so I can scan them for this site. The biggest hit in the valley was a family of red foxes that lived by our trailer. The hair raising pictures were when we wereat 12963 feet up on Cinnamon pass and our pickup wouldn't start. Anyway I'll get that all together when I can't do anything outside.

thanks to every body for their reply`s, I would just like to report that the problem while not fixed completely has been overcome 85%.I had the restriction coming on in sandy country with a full bin on 38 degree C day.I tkink this may in part be due to the temporary nature of the plumbing and while not understanding the hydraulic system completely think that the oil cooler should be bigger as well.As to running iin 2nd or 3rd gear Iget on better in third as one of you said but the position of the hydro lever doesnt seem to make any diff.New Hollnd at last have admitted that they MIGHT have a problem and will look into it,Icould also suggest that they look into their quality control in manufacture as the cab ladder all but fell off the other day due to poor welding. Thanks again ozzie pete

I have been working alongside of CX's and CR's and they are running a hotter than the TR 99 in both engine and hydro temperatures
