I am on my second air reel. I went to a 800 25' last year and ordered it without a reel. That way was much cheaper than trying to dispose of a standard reel. It is the ultimate way to go for feeding short beans. I bought it to relieve the frustration of poor feeding on the 320, but it has to pay for it self by blowing the loose beans in the head rather than letting them roll over the cutter bar. Also you can run the reel higher and slower so it has to shatter less. It does kick up more dust in front of the window but that is not a problem since I mounted lights under the manifold. I shut off the rest of the lights when it is too calm. I had my head back to the dealer for warrantee work and they told me another air reel customer wanted the lights on his before he brought it home. There goes another million doller idea! I also modified the air tube. I have a 90 degree elbow on the air pump and a piece of 8" auger tube to replace the lower half of the flex hose. It does two things: 1 that is the end most suceptible to dammage 2 the hose gets almost twice as long under pressure so there is less hose to control. A neet side benefit is you get 2 hoses for the price of one. Once you run an air reel you won't go back.
