This was a great year in southern Minnesota which forces me to try and be humble because I did nothing to receive the bounty we had. The Good lord really blessed us this year. Corn went 210; beans were 71. Interestingly, we collected a payment on our hail insurance for the June storm which I wasnt going to request but the agent hand delivered a check. Some years a person can do no wrong. Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year to everyone.

Most of eastern SD, the part that can rase corn most years, was fantastic; lots of 200 bu. corn and 50+ beans.

Here in Northwest Ala. because of the stroms and some widely scattered rain my corn went from 40 to 145 bu. per acre with 90 average. Beans went from 0 to 60 bu. with 30 average, RR poorest and convenional the best. and cotton was good at 1200 lbs. per acre and it was all liberty link. Just rode though Ill. and the corn that I seen did not look like it was all that great, but that was after it was shelled so I could be wrong.... Next year will be better.

Maybe the yeilds were bad in your area but I think overall they were record yeilds. In Mn with all the piles there was a lot of 200+ corn and 50+ beans 50+ wheat. There was a reason there was 50 cent lDPS.

Crops were variable in East Central Iowa, corn from 60-220 bpa, beans were from 35-80 bpa.Planted some beans in 36" rows,10-12 bu better than the drilled ones.

Here, in southwest Nebraska, yields overall were better than they have been the past few years. The wheat last summer was average, in the 50's for the most part. Oats were very good with decent test weights. Anymore, if they don't weigh 36 lbs., they are hard to get rid of. Yields ran around 80 for them...which is great for this far south. The corn this fall varied a lot but we didn't have very much that was real low, a lot of average and some was better than we have had on dryland for awhile ranging from a low of 40 to a high of 90 with our average of around 75. This was an excellent year for milo. The first good year in probably 5 years. Most of it ran 80 to 100. Soybeans are mostly irrigated and we did have some good beans this year running in the 50's and 60's. Sunflowers did well. Rains came just at the right time for them. Sounds like everyone had good 'flowers and the contract price for next year doesn't look to be as good as last year. Again, yields varied more than usual just depending on where it rained and when. There seems to be more grain piled on the ground this fall than a year ago. Some of that is due to a backlog of grain being around from the '04 crop.

Not a very good year here. Beans from 15 to 50 with an average of about 35. Corn from 35 to 155 with about a 100 bu avg. These yeilds sure dont pay the expenses. With the price of inputs. The reason for the lDP's in our area, where because the basis were so screwed up. The piles of corn have alot to do with being able to get rid of it. Here locally they cant get train cars,or alot would not be piled up. IG
