JD has most of the same things in the 60 series that the CR'sand CX's have had for awhile. JD now says the unload at 3.3 bu. per second since NH CR unloads at 3 bu. per second. The Info monitor on the NH's was ahead of the JD's. STS's extremely high maintenance costs are turning people away from them. As a matter of fact I think CIH has a few outstanding features like the IVT transmission that runs the feederhouse and the header in relation to the ground speed.

The Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) on the 8010 is not an option. It is standard equipment.

So did the 8010's that came out this year have them or will that be for next yearIJ

The CVT is not, I repeat, not on the 8010. It is only available on Fendt and the RT series AGCO tractors. There may be a variation of the CVT but it is not a CVT.

The CNH 8010 combine uses a version of the CVT. It is standard equipment, not an option. It is called the Power Plus Drive system. They use a mechanical CVT w_hyd control to have auto feeder house speed for corn hds--and adjustable header and feeder speeds. Take charge electronics make it possible for the header and feeder speeds to automatically adjust to changes in ground speed. This setup eliminates several drive belts. It has nothing to do with varying the ground speed of the combine itself. This info came from the Dec Farm Journal. Deere offers it now in tractors (IVT),CNH has one in tractors in Europe, NH will offer one in North America this yr.

Any 8010 that you see, whether it be a early version proto-type,an 02 or 03, they all have the Power Plus Drive system. It is part of the basic design of the new AFX combines, (8010,7010),don't know about the 6010, but the odds would be in its favor. Have a neighbor with an 8010,one smooth machine.
