MCA, Have done many ourselves and also sold many kits to perform the heart transplant youself. Instructions come with kits. Can also provide digital pictures if needed. Alot yourself 24hrs. with two men if you have never done one.Have done a tranplant in a 10hr. day with two men who know what needs to be done.Only work with the 8.3l(505C.I.)as this engine will provide all the HP you will need, epsecially if you do some of the Hyper Mods..Have all of the engines we have installed running at 250-260HP. Used engines are easily located and if you desire new, that is also an option. E-mail me if you have further questions, Hyper Harvest II

An 855 or N14 in a 62_72 would tear more up than it is worth. The M11 will twist off enough shafts or wear out enough torque limiters with its modest torque output. The Big Cam Cummins is happy in the 350-450hp range and will produce gobs of torque. The M11 may be able to run 350 hp but with now where near the torque. The M11 is a decent engine, I just don't think the 855 would be a good fit in a combine.

I think ours is a Cummins 6CTA. It starts in cold weather and makes good power. If my merory is right an 855 was optional in the R70 or 72.
