Combines Curious about the Bi Rotor

Many aspects of the Bi-Rotor system are described in the book Dream Reaper by Craig Canine. ISBN 0-226-09265-8 There is a side view drawing in there on page 187, but disregard the engine orientation as shown. I reality, the engine on XBR2 set crossways. The biggest feature centered around concaves that rotate in the same direction as the rotor.

Hi Farm Buddy, I was fortunate enough to see the promo video that was released on the "XBR" and was wondering what ever happened to the two combines that were built with the bi rotor concept incorperated into them. As I remember (I only saw it once and it was over 5 years ago) the 1680 retro fit was painted white and I honestly can't remember seeing the XBR-2 bar some computer generated images showing the rotor and concaves, the cleaning area, grain handling and the modular concept of the machine. Were these machines scrapped after the patents were bought or are they still floating around the country side nowIJ And if so how are they performingIJ I was then and am still now in ore of the concept and design, and I was bitterly dissapointed to here through this board the JD had shelved the design. Cheers Bundy.
