Combines curved metal bats available for 1460IJ

The curved metal bats can be put on a 1460. The package number is 413004A1. They are shorter and bolt on with 2 bolts instead of 3.

How much better do they spread the materialIJ Particularily, wheat straw.

I have not seen these run in wheat straw. One of my customers is running them and is happy with the job that they do. However, it is not a bolt on deal. They do not fit the 24" standard disc. They do fit the 30" disc off of the 80 series and these will fit the 60 series. He does recommend mounting a deflector on the inside of the hood to help deflect the material down to the spreader discs.

Buy 5" exhaust pipe from a truck supply store and get it cut in half and then cut the inside end of it to the same shape as the factory bats. A plasma cutter works great at your local machine shop. Remember to cut 3 for the left and 3 for the right. Cost about $40 CDN.
