Combines custom harvest tribute

For those of you who don't know what lenwood is doing, he has completely restored a 21A Massey Harris combine. Now he is looking for a truck and a pick-up of the same vintage to restore. He wants to commemorate the 1944 multi state Harvest Brigade made by 500 Massey Harris 21 and 21A combines to help the war effort. This was the start of modern day custom harvesting in the United States. I saw his 21A combine last spring at the harvester's comvention. He has done a maticulous job restoring it.

What is the harvesters conventionIJ Is it a convention for custom operatorsIJ Or is it a combine showIJ I always thought it would be neat to restore a combine! But most people look at you strange when you mention it.

MFCombineBuff, It's both, a convention for custom operators and a combine show if you want to call it that. When you get 450 to 500 custom operators all in one place what better venue for the six major combine manufacurers to show off their latest $230,000 toys. But let me tell you last spring at the convention in Omaha that 21A Massey Harris got just as much attention as any of the bran new combines did.

I know a fellow who has one of the orignal 500 21 Massey's for the harvest brigade. It is totally restored complete with the draper header and authentic harvest brigade decals. I have a picture of it but I am computer challenged when it comes to posting pictures on the net. Maybe I can talk my wife into it. The combine is located in North Dakota.
