We go over the front range on route 160 from I-25 at Walsenberg. la Veta pass is 9,630 feet high. It's quite a pull with a 34000n combine, but the road is not terribly step and no hairpin curves. I'm getting anxious!

I don't know of anyone mapping with the NH system. At this point I prefer to use AG leader for mapping and the Info Monitor for everything else. Ag leader makes a system for the CR. If I were to buy a new CR I would order it with out the yield monitor and put in the AG leader. I also would order a CR without a chopper or a chaff spreader and put on a Redekop chaff and straw chopper. Don't get me wrong I really like the CR combine, but the above mentioned things would be a must for me.

The guy running a CR940 in this area also noticed power troubles in wheat. This combine ran in corn and soybeans last fall with roundbar concaves installed and never ran short of power. Put the small grain concaves in and he can't get over about 4 mph with a 25' platform. He got done and it hasn't been back at the dealer yet to get looked over. It also still needs the updates installed. One thing NH did find out was that on some machines Bosche did not install the fuel overflow valve internal parts on the injection pumps. The fitting is there that the retuurn line is attached to but the spring and either ball or plunger is not inside on some of them. This starves the injection pump but unlike a tractor setup the electric lift pump keeps enough fuel up there to keep the machine running. Might be worth a look.

Thats the road I was on. It looked a little narrow to me to be pulling a combine on. If you never knew that valley was out there you would think you are going out in the middle of no where.

NHDon, do you have pics of these CRs, or know if the owners have websites. I have been trying to do some research on how the Crs have been doing this season and how many people are using them compared to the 2388 and JDs. Thanks Dusty
