Europe tech to USA tech We used a CVT transmission with our agricultural engineering 1_4 scale tractor design. Basically we ran the cvt right off the output shaft of the 16 hp engine and then to a Tufftorque transaxle (similar to a utility vehicle powertrain). Although it was belt driven and on a small scale, it worked really well in the test pulls. Although, this year CVTs were outlawed in the competition. Nothing like tinkering with a spring engaging system turning 3600 rpm --- somewhat of a safety problem. Thanks, cnhboy
