I've tried all sorts of things to make that system work better. If you really want to know how I've solved the problem, I grounded the wire to a bolt on the concave door and put a male end on that side and from the wire running in the cab I put on female plug. Make them tight enough so that when the door opens, it pulls them apart breaking the circut thus turning the light on. Make sure they connections aren't too tight though. The way I see it is that you have to crawl under there to put the door back up anyways and this is 100% accurate! Just don't forget to connect the wires back up! This is the best way to do it I think. ;-) Good luck!
