depends on corn - bean mix. Assuming 50_50 we have found about 1200 hours necessitates turning the bars and rearranging them for new preformance, and the middle helicals at the same time. Then they will run to about 2000 hours some more some less. If you think bars need replacing it sure would be a great time to add the steep pitch helicals on the thresher as mentioned before to eliminate the 'second pass' threshing and add the helical extention and certainly the extended bars if you have not already. I do not have enough hours on the newest setup yet to see, but I will bet the life of the bars will increase, do not know about the helicals. Time will tell.

Thanks Tbran. I have almost that many hours on the machine and have noticed the crop not passing through as easily as it used to, especially some corn hybrids. It seems like a good time to pull the rotor and do the mods.
