Combines Dealing on Deere

How much more do you want to put on itIJIJ I personally haven't heard of too many problems with the 50_10 series machines, but I'd be having a long talk with a lawyer before trying to get any warranty work if you do fit extentions on. I have seen a CTS II's with very oversized extentions (which allowed it to hold as much as a 9750 standard) on it and cracks in places I have never seen cracks before! If you fitted those to an 9760 it would hold a heap more grain but its a long way up and is like one huge lever trying to bust the machine apart. I don't care what colour or breed of machine you fit them too the same thing would happen. The lower the centre of gravity the more weight the frame_drivetrain can handle. Simple physics.. Invest in a cart or manage your bins and trucks better so you don't need the extra capacity. It will save you a lot of heart ache in the long run.

one thing is for certain EVERY combine maker seems to be making alittle crappier combine every time they update to a new version!! a lot more electronics and gizmos and one heck of a lot less metal and more plastic! i'd be leary of more weight on top too!

Im with Bundy on this one. I wouldn't even think of trying to add hopper capacity to an already weak structure. We don't have extensions on our 9660sts' but, we have cracks all over the back of the bottom panel in the hopper. Shouldn't have happened in the first place. You're much better having a cart on standby. We invested in one and wouldn't do without one any time we're harvesting. The cart is kind of like having another combine in the field. Thats just my .02 cents. Good luck

I've heard Deere say's no no on adding extensions to new combines. You'll void the warranty on the whole thing. Deere's sick of fixing axles. If you want extensions Deere has them for the bigger combines, their ordered that way. There's absolutly no reason to go bigger than what's offered. If you can't make a round then get a grain cart. Besides, the machine doesn't make much money sitting at the end of the field dumping anyhow. Have a good one!
