Colin, If you can't get any info about the 7000 series chopper deeres from guy's who have ran them does that not make you think they have something to hideIJ Go with the 900,you've demoed it and you know yourself it is an awesome machine!!! Are the Claas new model "profi" and "Speedstar" versions available in CanadaIJ I think we're about to deal for a new "speedstar" shortly.Trading a 2001 900 with 1700eng_1300chop hours to new 900 for approx 25000 about $53000Can,We think this is one helluva deal!! Don't go near the FX60 unless your getting a Mega deal!!! I've heard on the grapevine that a completely new FX model similar outer design to CR_CX combines will be limited tested this coming season for introducion late 2004.

Going to deal on a class chopper tomorrow with a kemper 10 row head. The only thing i which class had was a bigger hay header. I like to put a 60 foot swath into the machine to keep my ground speed down. When i demoed the 900 last fall it was great could not belive the capasity it had over my 6950. The truck drivers did not like it,they had no rests between loads. Will let you now how things go. Hope everyone had a very good New Years. To Health and Prosperity in 2004 Colin

Happy days Colin, You've made the right choice and you won't regret it!! We put 50f rows of grass into our 900,Grass is mowed with a 30f Jag 860 SP mower and then raked up with a 4 rotor Claas liner 3000 50f rake or a 2 rotor Claas liner 30f 880l rake into a row which the 3 metre Claas pick-up can lift. With our heavy crops of grass I will admit the 900 knows when it "eats her dinner"!!! Best of luck. P.S. 9880sts will not be pleased!!!

i don't care. I have emailed him a couple of times, and talked to him here, he has yet to answer any question regarding the 7800 chopper. I taled to a gentle men last night that tried a 7500 and he told me i made the right choice. Will see this year.Colin

Is it the new type you are gettingIJ Either "profi" or "Speedstar" modelsIJ The difference being the "Speedstar" has a 40km_h gearbox (nesscesary over here in UK for road travel between fields and farms to keep up with trailer_buckrake_ fleet) and the "Profi" the standard 22 km_h.

it is the standard one the one that goes 22 km_hr. I have a trailer for pulling it around so did not think i need the speeder. Colin
