You should be able to put a deere flex head on an l3 the only problem I could see is the hydraulic to run the reel deere uses a pump mounted on the combine where as Gleaner used a pump mounted on the head other that that and also I do not know if the DAM would cross over but I am assuming it would so it would probally work once you had the reel drive problem figured out. Corn heads should not be a problem should be pretty straight forward just would require the use of an adaptor which from a l3 to deere are quite common or a easy to build also, the difference between the 9610 and an STS machine very drastice the 9610 is cylinder_walker setup like your gleaner where the STS is a rotor (correction it is a single tine seperator not a rotor) but works on the same principle the difference in header hook ups is 9610 is the standard double chain coupler where the 50 series is a PTO style couple just like a 1000 rpm PTO shaft the reason they when to this style to to allow for movement tilt when the machine has conture master.

I found a bish adapter with all the shafts and brackets for a flex head. But i didn't think of the pump issue. Wonder if a kit is out there or if a gleaner pump system would workIJ DAM header controlIJ gleaner is a six wire system what is deereIJ I would look for the PTO style coupler if i jump heads first machine second. This way at least i can see green. Thanks
