i was just woundring why they would delay the release of the beast untill now an have not done back when they release others or were scare of the mighty newholland an wait to match it maybe your freind might know boggo

Well boggo if is going to blow everything out of the water, then let's get it over here in the North and North West of New South Wales, cause all of the machine's over here are sitting in the @n$%(*and stuff, even the little DEERES with their 36 foot cutterbar's, even though most of them have had broken knive's and their wheel's welded back on.

BOSS351 where are you at the momentIJ I'm still on the Darling Downs where i have managed 3 days harvest in the last 3 weeks,no decent rain just drizzle and showers every day or so.Maybe this super JD combine has a grain-dryer in the front.John

I've heard through the grape vine there is going to be a bigger John Deere combine then 9750sts but I didn't think it had 625hp. They said it is going to be a little bigger then the CAT biggest combine. I've also heard that John Deere is going to have a smaller sts combine then the 9650sts for farmers that don't need that big capacity. I guess only time will tell if this is true.

Well johnboy we have them in the area between Moree and Wee Waa, and some at Walgett, and some at Nyngan, .We havent had a belt turn since about the 8_9 Nov, the smallest amount of rain that any of our job's have registered is six and a half inches, but I have been told that over in the St George area they have had up to 14 inche's, That is bad, I guess that when we do re start the harvest we wont find any supprises, maybe plenty of frog's, we have six machines and three chaser bin's and tractor's in two foot six of running water, the farmer has told us two day's ago, at the moment we cant even drive to them from Moree, maybe tomorrow. Well I had better go see if the sun can come good...

Since i posted my original message i have discovered the 625hp i quoted was a bit misleading . I have since been told there is a bigger model on the way somewhere in the vacinity of 500hp surely someone must know a bit more about it ........especially when they are going to (or have ) trial it ................

AS an Aussie we don't tend to hear all that much about new models until they land on the wharfs . I have been told that there is a bigger johnnie being developed . What will revolutionise headers (if its true) is the fact that it doesn't just have an upper and lower sieve it has three layers of cleaning sieves ! They are apparently going to gain their capacity by deviding the separation into two parts . A large conventional drum will first thresh the material , normally it would have to do the bulk of the separation however all it has to do is basically separate the heads from the straw ... the top sieve opens wider than a normal sieve and everthing that goes through it gets put through a rotor which finishes the threshing from there on it works just like a normal rotary . Adding to the capacity is the fact that any grain which has been fully threshed after contacting the drum can go through all 3 sieves and into the box . It is basically a high capacity seconds system . I am just not sure about the demand for a machine like this .... its too big for most operations , or it should be if it performs to Deeres expectations.. Although it might be useful out here in Australia this year ......provided it can handle heaps of water and sprouts...Cant even walk on most of the wheat paddocks let alone harvest it . The grain is actually pushing out of the head . surely the sun will come out eventually--

I have heard about your rainy spell down there on the news. Sounds like flooding going on in places. But these conditions are not when you'd want some gigantic, heavy machine to harvest with. You want something smaller and lighter. Seems that Deeres have always had a disadvantage in wet, muddy conditions - they are too heavy!
