I have not heard of anyone to rebild these fans and i would like to know who does them if you can find someone because they are very expensive. I will do some looking. Good luck Brent
Buy the non-coated one for I swear they are just as good even better. Replace stub shafts and needle bearings also. Get it done before the fan assembly loosens up and causes lots more problems. Good luck
before i gave the advise to use the non-coated fan i would sure think twice. in our part of the country, Texas_Oklahoma, i have changed non-coated fans at 100 hrs of use. I sure do agree, change all bearings, stub shafts, and seals.
You could be right. We just found that the non-coated lasted just as long if not longer. V8 machines didn't bother near as much as the I6s. Maybe the machines with I6s are worse for most of the guys with them have allways done their own edible beans. Problem escalates when there are two of them running together. Original non-coated lasted much longer than new coated ones. Maybe the coated V8 blades are better but hard to tell for some just got original replaced at around 2000 hours. Surely there is a lot of difference in the kind of dirt and dusts threwout the country. Thanks for pointing that out. Take care.
2000 hours give or take a few hundred on the original non-coated in the V8s. 400 hours give or take a hundred on the coated ones for I6s. Now keep in mind most all of the I6s do alot of edible beans. Original non-coated went 600 hours give or take a hundred in the I6s. I'm just starting to go back to non-coated on everything and we'll see how it goes. Won't take long to find out on the edible bean machines. Maybe your dust doesn't get threw the coating like ours. Maybe I'm dreaming but it seams the originals out lasted coated two to one. We'll see how it goes
you rebuild them yourself thenIJ I have yet to have it apart far enough to see how they are built. are they easy to rebuildIJ any special tools or instructionsIJ
Yes we rebuild them. By rebuid I mean we tear down and install new parts. If you want to go with non-coated blade then order the old Deutz number. We likely have them on hand. Most any handman can remove blower assembly and rebuild if your talking R50. Note if threads are backwards on the nuts (don't recall on that engine). Torque nuts back up to specs. Good luck
Take the assembly off and take it to someone that knows.......... there are bearings and seals that should be replaced when it is time to replace the fan.
