I have a Deutz in my R60 but I dont understand what you mean by, air deflector under the motor. If you talking about the hinged deflectors, screens, or whatever they are called under the exhaust manifolds, I keep them latched against the cylinders and open them once a year for cleaning. You must be into some awfully dusty beans or you have something else wrong if you have to clean more often. Is your fan worn outIJ Do you have oil leaks causing dust to stick to cooling finsIJ

DUSTY-EXTREEMlY--have never seen it like this. DEFlECTOR-just under the back side of motor pan between the rails, you can drop it down a little but i presume it lets chaff and dirt fall on top of where the shoe fins are.

we make a back door from an old bean screen on an l combine. makes a world of difference on letting heat out and not letting dust collect.

I think that is a clean out door for material that has settled under engine. I find half of them open and half of them closed. Them doors are not on the R60 or 70s Tom. We install a chemney about 7" X 12" just ahead of air intake prescreen and about 4" to the rear of grain bin. We feel this helps plenty with preventing the pooling of so much heat. There is a very nice hot draft coming from it. Do you ever find any pooling of dust on top of exhaust encloserIJ Turboed engines are flat and could allow dust to settle especially if fan isn't blowing the best. Maybe a V shaped panel on top of exhaust encloser would help if that is where problem starts. Might want to rig up a water manometer to check engine air pressure. When air pressure is down you surely have lost volume of air keeping engine bay clean. Good luck
