1st make sure gauge and sender a good, 2nd no matter how clean you think the oil cooler is remove it from combine and clean it on the barn floor with high pressure hot water, you will be surprised what comes out, then wash it again and be even more surprised.. Make sure the cooling fan blade is in tolerance, but usally if the fan is worn out you get a head temp light not oil temp problem.

we have even had to use a mig weld wire piece to unstop some!

At 1000 engine RPM and operating temp oil you should have about 1" of water air pressure within engine cowling. 6 or better inches at 2300 RPM with operating temp oil.
