We had the same problem this fall on a 915 flex on a 6620. Our problem was that mice ate into the plastic harness where it feeds through the feederhouse. The insulation on all 8 wires was eaten down to the copper for about a foot. We repaired it and had no problems the rest of the soybean harvest. We did have a little trouble getting that adjustment chain under the cab to have the correct tension.

We had that problem this year on a head used for only the second season. The shaft that runs under the head got twisted and would not sense the ground correctly. Took about a week in the Deere shop and $800 to have them find out what was wrong and fix it. Good luck and hope this helps
