Make sure the magnetic sensor is clean of metal filings and then move it in a little closer. let me know if this cures it.

Right side-under the shield. Is the head new to youIJ I'm wondering if you dont have dial-a-speed on the head.

I don't recall the 200 series headers having a Dial-a-speed reel. This was a chain driven reel versus the gear driven reel on the 900 series heads with DAS. The large drive gear acted as the tone wheel for the DAS sensor...not on the 200 series heads.

Yes it is new to us. We bought the combine which came with this head last winter. It's very possible that this head doesn't have DAS. How do I tellIJ Sorry about the stupid questions but we're new to combining and I'm just trying to learn.

look on the right side to see if the sensor is there. If not, and the wiring is there you can get the rest from your dealer for about $60. Our head didnt have it, so I put it on-its a nice feature.
