Gerald, Congratulations. Pretty nice Xmas present if you ask me. What year machine did you trade in toIJ Now you have a clear choice for your bride's present: Bigger trucks and auger. I went from an R50 to an R72 also. It is a giant leap forward in capacity! Best holiday wishes from NE Montana. Ed

How tight did you bring up front of concave to solve flax and wheat thresh with three filler bars and wide rasp barsIJ I would prefer all forward wide rasp as long as you can make it work up to your standards. You may want to consider seperator grate covers or building up approx every other wire in seperator grate for barley loss and grinding canola straw ect. You didn't say what year you got so just be sure it is new enough to have extended cylinder bars to discharge and feeder shocks. If not get them installed and also get third helical from gearbox extended over top left corner of feeder opening. Be sure if you run discharge beater to have good knotched blades outward. Congradulations, Merry Christmas, and good luck.

We run the front of the convave at about zero to 1_8 in flax and 1_8 to 1_4 in wheat. I plan to do the full helical bar mod, but not sure about the rotor. I may be even looking at a sunnybrook unit next week at a farm show. I was going to sunnybrook our R50, but I didn't like the rubbars on the sunnybrook about 4 years ago.

I'd highly recommend extending them cylinder bars for your crops no matter if you stay with Gleaner or go Sunnybrook. Also ask Sunnybrook about straight discharge paddles for your crops. Good luck
