They are wire lock cylinders. You have to find end of wire in slot on barrel. Dig it out and turn end to get wire out. Then you can pull cylinder apart.

check in the hole where the hose fitting is if the end of the ram looks like it can be knocked in with no shoulder on end cap push end cap in till you can see it in the hole of the fitting look for the ring there if it is it's tricky but you can get it out with a good o-ring tool or also when you push end cap back look in the barrel there might be a ring there good luck
