by impeller speeds guess you mean chopperIJ Two things, metal fatigue due to vibration, and lots of corn cobs will work on them after 15 yrs or so of use. Another thing is the unloader tube banging in home due to various issues. Major thing is chopper balance - check it closely - there should be no unusual vibration even at high speed. If so you will need to correct - somehow. When reconditioning we have 90 degree 2" angle pieces of slightly heavier gauge galvanized to lay on top of the rivets (which are replaced as well as possible then re-revit the new wider angle to the sheetmetal. We also use pan head bolts every foot or so with locknuts inbetween new rivets spaced at close to origional spacing. Also check for the heavy inside top piece still being in there, we had a trade in last year and it was absent. (71361479) Most of the sheetmetal parts are not that bad to replace and price isnot that bad, except for the main combine outside huge piece.
