You can do it,just make sure the right one dosen't get into the tailings elevator. If you get into mud you want it following the front tires or you'll be steering with your brakes.( not fun!!! )
won't be cool changing return elevator, forget it find some thing else to do with your time rear wheel needs to run in inside dual farmertim is right not fun steering with brakes and trans wont last!!!!
Do not dish out your rear wheels. The right tire will catch the return elevator and it will put added stress on the piviot, hub and drive motor of the rear wheel assist. Mud Hog says spcifically not to do this. If you want to change the wheel base you have to adjust the axle instead. This keeps the geomtry of the steering piviot the same while incressing axle width.
I can infer from this post that this gentleman has never played in the mud with rear wheels not following the front tire tracks. Your rear wheels will fall into one side of front ruts or the other side of front tire ruts and you will be headed sideways. leave the tires alone and drive it. If you want the combine to look cool, put chrome rims on it.
