Should also add that when you look into the shoe after the augers are plugged, you can see material jammed by the stripper plate on the rear accelerator roll. like I said, they have about an inch gap between them and no longer interlock. The paddles are about 1_4 from the bottom.

One other thing that comes to mind right away is the overfeed auger drive belt. i have seen this be the source of more problems than any thing else on N's and R's. Check the belts and the drive pulley on the back of the cylinder drive sheave. if there is any polishing at all in the bottom of the grooves change it and the belts. if the sheaves corisponding to it on the acc rolls are worn replace them also......good luck vstk

You more than likely have a wore out pulley and belts are bottoming out. The pulley is as stated earlier behind cyl variable on right hand side. 1981 and older units used 2-banded A width and eff 1982 used 2-banded or individual B width belts. If the belt is still banded remove the backing it will allow belts to move closer to bottom and you can tell that by a ridge in center of band. We replaced many of these sheaves over trhe years and was the n 1 problem with dist. augers stopping. By the way your'e accelerator rolls are shot.

My dealer says if you can stick a pencil between the rolls, they are worn out.
