I think I'am plugging the augers. most of the time Iget a warning bee from the shaft monter alarm and slow down. Would it help or hurt to take out part of the cage covers.

If material is not traveling to discharge well you will grind straw and send to the distribution augers. Too much straw will plug distribution augers. It may be time for you to upgrade cylinder bars and helicals. Be sure all belts involved in driving the augers are in good condition and not sliping. Check auger to see the flighing isn't worn rounded. Accelerator rolls may be bad so they are not pulling material away from the augers.

When I replaced the roller chain of the dist. aug. I put it on the wrong side of the sprocket causing it to run backward and plug. The drive chain goes on the lower side of the drive srocket. That solved my problem.
