We run Trimpe cylinder bars in the M2 we had for years, the filler bars do help with milling corn . Also take a look and see what kinda shape your grate is in. If it is worn it will not help this problem of milling corn. Trimpe can rebuild your grate also if it is wore out.

posted this below, but we have several units running lapped filler bars in corn and beans, just do not exceed 650 -700 rpm. Bars add extra inertia

Mark, might try slowing cylinder down a bit, we used to run our M2 with widespace Gleaner bars at 350 to 400 and about 3_4 concave clearance. We always felt running at enough speed to thresh properly with out damaging the crop. If your corn is dry run slower, 16 any up speed up a bit. We used to set clearance about 3_16 closer than diameter of average cobs and worked really good for us. Check your two rasp bars also, they tend to wear more in the belly than the sides, the sides may be tighter than you think, one is on the trailing edge of the door and the other right behind it in the feederhouse. Good luck

Hi T3 , still working on harvest ,had a good run till Wednesday got a lot done the last week. It has been nice and sunny, well things are changing. We need a couple days to finish up,hoping it will just freeze up now. As far as a planter if you want to come this far try Anderson's Equipment out side of Washington Court House n740-437-7803. They are a Kinze dealer and seem to have a good line of used planters.

I'll be at Wilmington Monday morning and plan on going to Tri-Green (I think that is the name you told me) on Monday also. I'll probably stop by Anderson's also.

I have not been up to tri-greens to see what they had but I was through Green and Son lot on St.Rt 665 about 7-8 mile east of town . They had a Kinze twinline 12-23 spliter planter the other day. Try JD Equipment also they have several stores and they should have corn planters . Not far from greens and JD Equipment is Mechanicsburg Imp. It is a Ford and Kinze dealer and they may have a good trade in. Have a good trip and bring your warm clothes it should be a little cool up here in Ohio next week.

I was at the auction on Thursday. No kinzes there, only a couple of 4 row wide and one 6 row 30" JD 7000's nothing that looked that good. Unless something came in over weekend. Tim
