We ran 2 30' headers last year. We loved them, as we used a 30' rigid the year before that. Really, they are very simplistic and not much to go wrong. Only problem with Honeybee is their commitment to keep customers happy. We had a problem witht the multilink connector, and they kept pointing their fingers at Cat, and Cat finally covered it, although it was on the Honeybee side. I think it is by far a better header than the Macdon 962, but if you can afford the 972, that may be you better bet.

To Kp--- What makes the 972 better than the HBIJIJ Other than the problem with your connecter, what other pro's and con's do you see in the machine and in the company's support.

We toured the Macdon plant a while back, and it just seems like they are there, ready to do what ever they have to do in order to keep the header going, honeybee sells out every year, and doesn't seem to really go that extra mile. As far as the product goes, it is superior to anything else out there except the 972. The 972 offers you the flexibility to cut right down to the ground with their C shaped cutter bar. Does that justify the extra cashIJ I personally do not thing so. We are going with 36' honeybee's this year, but if the price was the same, we probably would go with the 972. I would strongly recommend the honeybee over any other straight cut header out there, including the 962.
