Hey , Illinois Gleaner it was good talking to you today, after being up there today I think most everyone was there to see that combine sell. I've visited this site often but just started posting.

My dad had a CII in the 1970's. It had a D-19 (Buda 262 ci) turbo-diesel engine. That one blew the head and was repowered with a Chevy 350.

I have on in southeast minn I haven't run it for years and it is in excellant shape as my dad only combined the 120 he owned. I ran it a few times and like it a lot but compared to the l2 I have now its slow and methodical in comparison. good luck in your search.

My dad still has his, it was his dad's so we keep it around. That thing sure is small beside the three R72's lol. We have that little one all lubed up and take it out every yr just to do about 25 acres. I sure goes slow trying to eat 30 foot swathes. But it gets it done. Colin
