25K looks like a lot of money for a 1460, but when you take off 9k for the 1083 and figure about 6-7k for the platform if it is a 1020 and not a 820, that leaves about 9-10k for the combine alone and that might not be too bad. You can buy 1460s at auction for 4-6k and put another 4-10k into them to fix everything, so it all depends on the condition of the combine. Some things to check would be the unload augers, oil leaks ( look at left side of engine for a bad one),hydrolics, radiator, a_c, on and on. Also those heads sound kind of big for a 60, more suited to a 80 series, so check with someone who has run that big a head on a 1460. I run a 22.5 1020 and a six row corn head on mine and don't think I would want to go any bigger. A 1460 is proably the best value around if you can find one that you don't have to sink too much money into in repairs to get it ready for harvest. Keep in mind that you can also but a 1660 for the same money. Good luck.
