Combines don t forget to ask the Razer people

In many acres of testing, from wheat, soybeans, and milo, there has NEVER been a chain failure. Even if the chain would become uncoupled, it could not exit the header due to the tolerances maintained; ie it would bind the system and bypass the hydraulic circuit. The same scenario applies to the return channel. As for doing what you're already doing, you are not cutting at the speeds possible with the Razer; it is not possible. You cannot reduce your header width and keep your machine full. You cannot match the reduction of shatter loss provided by the Razer's smooth clean cut. I hope this has answered your concerns. If you have any more questions, do not hesitate to contact me.

Hi Tom! You really should not have made the statement about how whatever I am using could not "possibly" cut as fast. This is hilariously incorrect. I run a row head. Speed of cut is one thing that will not be a problem for me. I can already run as fast as the machine will go w_o using road gear which is almost 7 mph. And for the chain never wearing out, I say: great. I want that chain to replace my clean grain and tailings elevator. Is it available for thatIJ I sure think it would be a wise investment. I still think that if the thing you least expect to ever happen will show up soon when you turn us farmers loose on it! Good luck with your invention. It is hard to get started. Thanks for your reply..please have a safe harvest..it is a dangerous business. GS

Try cutting solid beans with your row crop head!! Also, I did NOT say that the chain will never wear out; nothing mechanical will last forever. I simply stated that throughout tough testing, that the chain never separated.

Hello again, Tom! Well, my beans are all in 30" rows, so I really have no need of a table. I still believe based on my own no doubt poor observations that I have a better dollar return_acre with 30"s. I realize that is debatable and many would not quit drilled beans anyhow, so I will say that it works for me. And you are right, nothing will last forever. By the way, how many hours did the chain finally take to run-to-fail in your product testingIJ Will you be at husker harvest daysIJ Still wish you good luck with your product, take care. GS

Tom, I was thinking about the Razer cutting system, and I did think of this: the chain might actually have more flex across the width of the table than the old sickle possibly can, so you might be able to use a wider head and revamp the flexible suspension for the cutter to get more up_down movement. Reason I think of this is because I am in pretty steep hills with some really sharp terraces which gives wide heads fits to try to get down all across the thing. Just so you know, I am not all negative! GS
