Combines dowels coming out of vari speed feeder house

Kurt, The problem is that the bearing on the back side (under the feederhouse) is getting worn allowing the inside half of the big sheave to not stay straight. This is caused by the inside bearing not getting enough grease as there is a grease zerk in the bearng cap on the outside sheave, but it doesn't get enough grease to the inside sheave bearing. It isn't till the late serial numbered TR-99's that NH put zerk on the inside bearing housing to eliminate this problem. Most good NH mechanics put a zerk in there on there own before NH got with it. It's easy to do. Just drill a hole in the cast iron bearing ousing and tap it for a zerk. You just as well replace the inside sheave w_bearings races and all. Otherwise those dowles are not going to stay there. I hope this helps! Don
