Combines DOWN CORN

If you get those little white grubs in an orchard grass hay field. It is done, just get out the RU and rotate to a different crop and use lots of insecticide. Those things are a real pain in the back side. I lose several hay fields a year to them. I had crop management specialist check for what was killing my grasses, Jap beetle grubs.

David, we sent some root samples of the roots of the corn that was down. It came back as diplodia root rot and some scattered giberella. last year the varietiey that stood the best was the one that fell the worst this year!! It seems however that the Bt hybrids have stood better than the nonBt. Shelled some Bt corn today that is starting to fall a little. I wish we could find a reason for this lodging because our profit is laying on the ground!!! T3 P.S. By the way, I think we are in the same county

T3 when we split the stalk and found some roots that showed the purple giberella,a few roots on the same ball didn't.There were grubs laying on what was left of the roots that had gib.Roots without the purple were whole and not eaten .It's like walking the feed lot bare footed, more likly to get infected with a cut.Couldn't tell much differance in our Bt the same moisture as non Bt as for as being down at the roots, less broken over in Bt.David P.S.I live in Giles County
