We ran 36' macdons last year, they did improve our capacity over the 30'rigid hdr. next year were running 30' honeybee hdrs. we hope they feed a little better in heavy crop conditions. we switched over because the shorter honeybee does good in soybeans. have heard the agco hdrs break the flotation springs and have cycle drive trouble but that is just what I heard I haven't run the Agco personaly. deffinite is a pickup reel and fore and aft reel witch is not available from macdon for a gleaner.

How much does a 36 ft macdon or honeybee sell forIJ Any price differenceIJ

I think a loaded out honeybee would push 30,000 US the macdon would be a bit cheaper I heard that macdon was having a price increase though. If you can buy a head thats a carry over unit you could save 30to40 percent

Yes, you can use a New Holland (Honeybee) draper head on the CR and CX combines. You can actually buy a kit to change over older NH and Honeybee draper heads to fit on the CR and CX combines.

The NH draper is a Honey Bee with a New Holland Sticker on it. If you have a New Holland Draper and look at the serial number plate it says Honey Bee. The Honey Bee is a good header but it is very heavy in comparison to a MacDon 962. From my limited experience with a Honey Bee I did think that it was a bit trickier to get hooked up to than a MacDon But if it is good price I woulnd't be discouraged by that. like with any draper header you have to watch and check your bearings on the drapers but as long as you check them before you start and replace any that aren't in good condition it should pretty much run trouble free for you.

I dont know anyone who has auto height with a draper since the draper is semi-supported by the gauge wheels , which achieves the same end, as long as therr is enough pressure in the air bags.

There is at least one company who makes a HHC. I don't have anything on my 936D but this system looks interesting

Have been running a corn head sensor on the middle adaptor of the 936D for two years now. It works awsome, even with the airbags it is a dream to operate.
