Where abouts are you fromIJ We just finished harvesting them, but we usually swath them, big mistake this year as they would never dry down, local processor always says to cut them second week of september, only problem was that they were still fowering! The beans we missed dried down just fine after they froze and never shattered. What kind of shattering losses do you experience when you straight-cut themIJ Thanks

we to used to windrow them but after we direct cut some with a flexi front with good results we direct head all now one advantage we had with windrow was earlier harvesting but we are on irrigation and any rain on the windrows can cause the lower beans to rot or go off we done test with trays etc on loss and found no real difference with either method but we direct cutting meant no pickup front and one less pass with a windrower... we heard that a draper front would do has good a job so are now thinking maybe we only need one of them what were your yields like oh from australia
