Combines duals or not

I run 30.5s on my 9650 Walker and a 936 draper, however my machine has heavy duty finals. My 9600 runs the same tires but with a 30 rigid, and have never had problems. The stress is the same on the axle if you have duals or not. Duals cost more in the long run as well. Who ever told you you needed them is full of it unless your in wet conditions, then yes. Ive hit pretty wet fields but my rear assist does the trick, even with a full big top on that 36ft 50 series.

my cousin tells me that anything platform over 30 foot reqiures duals thats what he said. just because he works for deere dosent mean he knows everything

I don't have duals, but I know guys that do and they say once you have them you will like them. More stability, better ride, etc.

Around here at least when it got muddy last fall the guys with duals either had to hire a guy with tracks or switch to 30.5 rice tires because the duals would just ball up with mud and become worthless. I think the biggest benefit of the duals with a big head is the stability of having a set of tires out so wide.

If you want to go through the mud Wold tire in Iowa can make you a set that will out perform tracs,they said the guys in Canada were putting these on and taking tracs off, I did not beleive it would outperform tracs but they do, my Quad tracs can not go where combine goes and they do not ball up they are spaced at about 14" and the tires are 800 metrics dualed with rear asist it will go where ever you point it.

how deep are your rutsIJ Forgive me for not believing that a tire can outperform tracks, I have spent some time on track vehicles working in mud and I can tell you no tired vehicle would make it out under it's own power in those places. gs
